Got the blues?
Blueberries, or as my three-year-old calls them “blues”, are a secret weapon against musculoskeletal pain. Studies show that blueberries have the most antioxidants of all the common fruits and vegetables, which means they can potentially help reduce inflammation in the body. Who would've thought they packed so much punch? Way to go, blueberries!
There are even studies that show that blueberries can help reduce the symptoms of arthritis (see article below). Consuming 1/2-1 cup per day is the recommended amount to reap their health benefits. I personally eat a couple of handfuls of blueberries every morning…and my three-year-old loves his blues too!
